Producer Domaine Tatsis

Domaine Tatsis is located in Goumenissa, in the Macedonia region—an area particularly well-suited to viticulture, characterized by limestone-rich soils. The Tatsis family arrived here from Bulgaria in 1924, following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. The family’s winemaking tradition has been passed down through generations, leading to the current helm held by brothers Periklis and Stergios. Periklis tends to the land and oversees vineyard operations, while Stergios serves as the winemaker. Today, Domaine Tatsis comprises 14 hectares of vineyards planted with some of the most important traditional Greek grape varieties: Roditis Alepou and Malagousia for whites, and Negoska and Xinomavro for reds. As pioneers of biodynamic farming in Greece, the Tatsis brothers have chosen to minimize intervention in both the vineyard and the winery. Their approach is rooted in respect for the land, the environment, and the region's identity, allowing the grapes and the terroir to express themselves as authentically as possible.
