Bourgogne Blanc Bigotes - Frederic Cossard

Frederic Cossard's Bourgogne Blanc Bigotes is a taut, vibrant white wine that relaxes with great cleanliness on fruity and sapid notes. Produced with 100% Chardonnay grapes that come from forty-year-old vines located on clayey and calcareous soils near the village of Puligny. The refinement takes place in barriques for a maximum of 36 months.

Service

We taste it at a temperature of around 10/12°C. It is recommended to serve it in Tulipano glasses. Wine to be drunk immediately but left a few years in the cellar can give great emotions.

Pairings

Perfect as a wine for the whole meal, it can certainly be combined with shellfish, elaborate first courses and tuna in various preparations.

Frederic Cossard is a young winemaker who produces natural wine in Saint-Romain, one of the most delicious appellations of Burgundy in the Cote de Beaune. Frederic does not come from a family of winemakers, but he started his business in the world of wine in 1996, after having done various jobs, renting vineyards in Saint-Romain. In 1998 he bought a house with a cellar in the village where he moved. In the vineyard he does not use chemicals and in the cellar the vinification takes place with spontaneous fermentations, long macerations between five and six weeks and the barriques he uses are cleaned with ozone, not sulfur dioxide. The passion for his work has allowed Frederic to be recognized for the quality of his wines, pure and uncontaminated expressions of a prestigious terroir.
