Frederic Cossard is a young winemaker who produces natural wine in Saint-Romain, one of the most delicious appellations of Burgundy in the Cote de Beaune. Frederic does not come from a family of winemakers, but he started his business in the world of wine in 1996, after having done various jobs, renting vineyards in Saint-Romain. In 1998 he bought a house with a cellar in the village where he moved. In the vineyard he does not use chemicals and in the cellar the vinification takes place with spontaneous fermentations, long macerations between five and six weeks and the barriques he uses are cleaned with ozone, not sulfur dioxide. The passion for his work has allowed Frederic to be recognized for the quality of his wines, pure and uncontaminated expressions of a prestigious terroir.
