Vallée d’Aoste Pinot Gris - Lo Triolet
Vallée d’Aoste Petite Arvine by Lo Triolet is a white wine made from Petite Arvine, a native grape variety of the Aosta Valley. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a brief maceration before gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature to best preserve the fresh and intense aromas. The wine ages for 8 months in stainless steel tanks, maintaining contact with the fine fermentation yeasts, which contribute to extraordinary balance and complexity. The color is a bright straw yellow with greenish highlights. On the nose, the wine presents a fine and persistent aroma, with delicate floral and fresh fruit notes, enriched with mineral nuances. On the palate, it is dry, fresh, savory, and well-structured, all accompanied by a long and harmonious aftertaste. It pairs perfectly with fish dishes, shellfish, light risottos, and fresh cheeses, and is also ideal as an aperitif.
Service
We taste it at a temperature around 8/10°C. It is recommended to serve it in tulip glasses. Wine to be drunk immediately but left to rest in the cellar a few years will reserve some beautiful surprises.
Pairings
Excellent with fish starters, fish main courses, ideal with a yellow risotto with prawns.
Cellar: Lo Triolet
The Lo Triolet winery was born from a passion for cultivating vineyards in steep, fertile mountain terrain and a constant pursuit of quality Aosta Valley wines. The cellar is where the grapes, tended throughout the season, are transformed into wine, always respecting their natural characteristics. Thanks to the sandy, morainic soils and the temperature ranges that enrich the grapes' aromatic profile, they produce fresh, savory, and elegant wines that perfectly express the essence of our mountainous region. Their goal is to preserve the quality of their grapes, and the diversity of the Aosta Valley terroir allows them to cultivate a variety of grape varieties, both native and experimental. Their ongoing research and the significant awards they have received drive them to improve their work every year, both in the vineyard and in the cellar.
