Semillion by Escandolo Wines is a wine that relaxes with notes of aromatic herbs and balsamic hints. In the mouth it is rich in fruit, with excellent flavor and minerality that make this Semillon really easy to drink. Manual harvest from vines over 70 years old, brief contact with the skins in steel tanks; the wine ferments and ages in steel for about 8 months. No filtration

Let's taste it at a temperature of 10/12° in tulip glasses. Wine to be drunk immediately but if left to rest in the cellar for a few years can give great satisfaction.

Pairings

Carignan is ideal to accompany pasta dishes, it also goes well with fish based dishes and semiaged cheeses.

Cellar: Escandolo Wines

Escandalo Wines is a Chilean company whose heart and soul is Mauricio Veloso Estuardo, an agronomist who studied oenology in Spain where he remained for about five years. After successive experiences in California and New Zealand, he returned to his country where in 2015, in the Itata Valley, he bottled his first wine. His project then grew when Mauricio found out vineyards of Carignan and Semillon in the Colchagua valley, one of the among the most famous Chilean wine territories. A warm valley influenced by the coastal climate, 70 km from the Pacific Ocean with land alluvial, clayey-calcareous and sandy. Both Carignano and Semillon vineyards are 70 years old. “I chose the Escandalo brand - explains the manufacturer - because the my first Itata Carignan was wild and delicious, bordering on scandalous wine. My concept is to let grapes be grapes for reach the maximum purity of the vine. I hope mine wines speak for themselves ". Mauricio loves to personally paint the subjects on the labels of his bottles.
