Cellar: Casa Comerci
Casa Comerci is a farm located in Badia di Nicotera, in the province of Vibo Valentia, in a wonderful position in the heart of Calabria. From here on clear days you can see Sicily and the Aeolian Islands. Historical cellar that was founded at the end of 1800 by Francesco Comerci, a man of great tenacity. But the real turning point is with the two daughters of Francesco, Michelina and especially Rosina, who immediately, also driven by his father's teachings, became fond of the vineyard. Rosina marries Domenicoantonio Silipo, the village's co-worker, and their union produces seven children. Rosina is particularly fond of the last-born Salvatore, born a few months before her husband's death, and who confidentially calls Micuccio in memory of her husband; To him he passes all his knowledge. Salvatore becomes a lawyer and chooses to profess his business in Carpi, Emilia Romagna, but never forgets his connection with the earth; In fact at every harvest he is always present. In the early 2000s, Salvatore's son, Domenicoantonio, decided to rebuild the company to honor the story of his family. It builds a new wine cellar and buys another 15 hectares of land in addition to replanting new plants of Magliocco Canino in the historic 2 hectare vineyard located just below the cellar. The vineyards planted in Magliocco Canico and Greco Bianco are cultivated under biological conditions and are found on sandy and sandy soils. In the cellar the vinification is spontaneous with the only indigenous yeasts. The wines produced by Casa Comerci are three, all of which are characterized by being purified and marketed late in the market for several years compared to vintage vintage; Are wines of the territory that can evoke the past.
