Winery: Vittorio Bera and Sons
The Bera family's wine cellar is located on the hills of the Astesana in Canelli, a town known above all for the production of moscato wine. Its history can be traced back to 1758 when the ancestor Giovan Battista bought some vineyards belonging to the Sovereign Order of Malta near Canelli. Vineyards located on lean hills. In 1964 the Bera family decided to convert to the organic 12 hectares of property, a choice that will lead them to cultivate the vineyards in full respect of nature, favoring natural treatments, without the use of chemical fertilizers. Same choice also in the cellar where selected yeasts, enological enzymes and chemical-physical treatments of various nature are prohibited. Their flagship wine remains Moscato d'Asti, but we also point out an excellent Dolcetto del Monferrato, a Barbera d'Asti and a white wine called "Arcese" which is the result of an assembly of local grapes of the area.
