Anjou Rouge "Pompois" - Clos Des Treilles

Clos des Treilles' Anjou Rouge "Pompois" is a red wine made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes, vinified through spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks. It ages for at least twelve months in used second-, third-, fourth-, and fifth-use barriques, followed by an additional six months in bottle before release. It has a ruby ​​red color tending toward garnet. The nose reveals notes of ripe fruit, enriched with hints of spice and pepper. The palate is warm and enveloping, well-structured, with soft, well-integrated tannins and a long finish characterized by a return of spice.

Service

It is advisable to taste it at a temperature of 16/18° in tulip glasses. Wine to be drunk immediately but left a few years in the cellar can give great emotions.

Pairing

Excellent with starters of cured meats, first courses, main courses of meat, to try with a beef carpaccio on potato cream.

Clos De Treilles is located on the gentle hills of Anjo, in the Loire Valley. Born in 1999 from an idea of ​​Nicolas Reau, a guy with a bourgeois appearance, who after spending his youth in dance halls as a jazz pianist decides to devote himself full-time to the production of wine. It is inscribed in the faculty of oenology and viticulture in Montreuil. After finishing his studies, he began his apprenticeship in various Bordeaux wineries until he acquired the necessary experience and moved to the Loire to produce his wine. Wines that resemble each other, grumpy as soon as they are open and elegant and pleasant as time passes. Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc vineyards bred according to the principles of biodynamics. Clos des Treilles produces 6 labels; 3 with Chenin Blanc in purity and 3 obtained from 100% Cabernet Franc. Tasting the white wines of the Clos des Treilles is overwhelmed by an acid-salt-iodized wave and seems to feel the salty taste of the sea.
