Nebbiolo d'Alba Spumante Rosè Origo-Ginis Cuvée 970- 460 Casina Bric
Produced with secondary fermentation and secondary fermentation in an autoclave (Martinotti method), this rosé ages on the lees for 12 to 18 months, developing finesse and complexity. The color is a delicate antique rose, with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose reveals floral aromas, reminiscent of wild rose and peach blossom. On the palate, it is fresh and smooth, while maintaining a complex and harmonious structure. Easy to drink and endowed with the typical verve of Nebbiolo, this wine is unique among sparkling wines. Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs perfectly with fish dishes, but it is also versatile as an accompaniment to the entire meal, especially during the summer season.
Service
We taste it at a temperature of 6/8° in tulip glasses.
Pairings
Wine ideal as an aperitif, for brunch, first courses with vegetables, to try with fish starters.
Winery: 460 Casina Bric
460 Casina Bric, Piedmontese dialect for "Cascina Bricco", is a new reality in the Langhe landscape, and its vineyards are located in the highest part of the municipality of Barolo, between 420 and 500 meters. Here you can breathe a unique microclimate, where the earth thanks to its geo-morphological conformation combined with the favorable climate of light and constant ventilation facilitates an original style, full of freshness in the mouth and vivacity in color. Casina Bric is the dream and the mirror of Gianluca Viberti, owner and oenologist, who after more than twenty years spent looking after the family vineyards, in 2010 gained strength and courage in creating an independent project, following the values and ideals of production consolidated in many years of work and effort. Gianluca lives and reflects his personality in his wines and in the way in which they represent a constant confrontation with the vineyard and the environment that hosts it. Thus was born a reality aware and attentive to tradition, in which Gianluca has reintroduced ancient customs and methods, such as the use of concrete barrels for the vinification of Nebbiolo; it also makes use of a traditional practice called "sticking of the marc", which consists in completely immersing the cap of the marc in the wine, through wooden staves coming from the dismantling of used barrels. Furthermore, in order not to forget, on the one hand, the history of Piedmont and to characterize the wines in the best possible way, on the other, Gianluca has chosen to use the Poirinotta bottle, dating back to the 1700s; the latter, produced near Poirino, a few kilometers from the city of Turin, was subsequently abandoned in favor of other containers from nearby France.
