"Rincrocca" Verdicchio of the Castles of Jesi Classico Superiore - La Staffa

The Verdicchio "Rincrocca" is obtained from the best grapes of Verdicchio from the Castellaretta contrada vineyard, which was planted in 1972. The grapes are meticulously harvested by hand and, after destemming and careful pressing, the grapes are fermented spontaneously in tubs of cement. After racking, it lasts for eight months in the same containers. The "Rincrocca" has a straw-yellow color with intense aromas of white berry fruit, elderberry and rsina flowers. In the mouth it is structurally smooth but slender, elegant, fresh with a long, slightly sour finish.

Service

It is advisable to taste it at a temperature of 8/10 ° in tulip goblets. Daily wine but left a few years in the cellar can give you great emotions.

The winery: La Staffa

The winery La Staffa is located on the hills of Stafford, in the classical part of the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. Founded as a small winery to produce wine for family consumption, it is now run by Riccardo Baldi who works 6.5 hectares poggiono on a soil composed of clay and limestone, giving structure and salt to the grapes. Maximum attention is paid to the vineyards, some of which are 40 years old, with biodynamic treatments. The annual production is about 30,000 bottles.
