Pairings

A pleasant wine always, better during the meal if accompanied with roast meats and spicy cheeses.

Cellar:  Julien Meyerr

The Binner Cellar is located in the small village of Ammerschwihr, in the heart of Haut-Rhin in Alsace, close to the city of Colmar. Their history of winemakers began in 1770, and from generation to generation comes Joseph who with his wife Monique and his sons Christian and Audrey manages the cellar. The Binner's vineyards are 11 scattered in the municipalities of Ammerschwihr where the younger vineyards, Katzenthal, are found, with old vineyards reaching up to sixty years of age, and Kientzheim. The Binner also boasts three Vineyards, Kaefferkopf, Schlossberg and Wineck-Schlossberg, which rest on the Gran Cru grounds. The vineyards that enjoy the dry and well-ventilated climate typical of Alsace are on steep hills and are cultivated in biodynamic. The same care and attention is placed in the cellar where Binner does not use chemicals but only indigenous yeasts, refinements in old oak barrels and long stalks on fine lees. Numerous production includes 15 labels, including Riesling Schlossberg and Gewurztraminer cuvée Beatrice. The Binner wines are unique wines, respected in the area and with a long aging potential.
