Cellar: Thomas Puéchavy
From musician to vigneron. It is the life path of Thomas Puéchavy who for many years successfully played the harmonica in a band. A passion and a profession that led him on tour, not only in France, but throughout Europe. So in 2016 the choice to undertake another life: that of the vigneron. He thus moved to Amboise where he attended a specialist course in organic viticulture. In this charming town of the Loire he lived for a short time with his wife and two children. Later, in fact, he leaves the city and finds a house with a large cellar in the village of Nazelles. Thomas cultivates 3 hectares of Chenin Blanc in the municipality of Vouvray. These are rented vineyards that have been converted to organic since 2018. The vines are between 20 and 80 years old. The soil on which they stand is composed of silty clays and tuffaceous parts that give the wines the right balance between fullness, minerality and flavor. Its first vintage produced and marketed is 2019.
