Winery: Brand Bros
The Brand Bros are 2 brothers, Daniel and Jonas, who produce natural wine in Bockenheim, a city located in the Rhineland region. They are the fifth generation of winemakers in the family, having succeeded their father (Domaine Weingut Brand) in 2014. In this area, thanks to the optimal climatic conditions, healthy and juicy grapes are obtained which grow in a natural balance, capable of giving rise to wines full of character. The Brand Bros use plant-based products such as herbal extracts or teas in their vineyards, which are used to strengthen the vines, clover and wild herbs which are intended to attract bees and other beneficial insects to the vineyards. The fermentation of each wine begins spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and, once this is finished, each wine rests on the fine lees for a long period. Subsequently the bottling is not based on a fixed date, because every wine needs its time, but the decision is made on the basis of taste. From the beginning, Danile and Jonas' grandmother Oma Helga draws the illustrations for the wine labels.
