A wine with a great gastronomic vocation, which makes it perfect for combining with different ingredients, from fish to meat. Also perfect with different types of cheese, it is a must try with sushi.
Winery: Fritz Salomon
Fritz and his family have been the owners of Gut Oberstockstall since 1869 and together with Josef Jamek were the first to plant grape varieties from Burgundy in Austria. The entire region of Wagram (north-east of Vienna) is characterized by a particular terrain that was formed after the ice age when the winds blew a lot of sand from Africa that went to form what is now called "Loess ". The land of Fritz and Brigit is about 100 hectares and in addition to the 14 hectares of vineyards, there are crops, animals and wooded parts. The entire company has been following biodynamic dictates since 2005. "I am convinced that only conscious and respectful agriculture is able to fully represent the expressive power of the vineyard and thus have authentic wines. Furthermore, I know that, if the land is cultivated in a careful and sustainable way during the year, it will then not be necessary to intervene during the winemaking process. This holistic approach of mine allows for a great balance of the earth and gives life to natural products that are extremely faithful to their territory. " Fritz
