Sancerre Auksinis - Domaine Sebastien Riffault

Sancerre 'Auksinis' is obtained from late-harvested Sauvignon grapes, which come from organically grown vineyards that grow on siliceous soil. The fermentation takes place slowly in old oak barrels with only indigenous yeasts in contact with the skins for 10 days. Refine in the same barrels in contact with the fine lees for 18 months. It is not clarified or filtered before being bottled. Sancerre 'Auksinis' has an intense golden yellow color by the glass. The nose reveals hints of ripe yellow fruit, nuances of honey, vegetable and mineral sensations. In the mouth it is warm, complex, rich, with a distinct freshness and minerality. Persistence is long.

We taste a temperature of 8/10 ° in the tulip glass. Wine to drink immediately but will express its best in a few years.

Sancerre Auksinis is excellent with seafood, with fish dishes, to try with a seafood lasagna.

Cellar: Domaine Sébastien Riffault

The Domaine Sebastien Riffault is a historic wine cellar in the Loire since it was founded in the 1900s.
