Friuli Venezia Giulia

Friuli Venezia Giulia is a region of ancient wine traditions found in northern Italy on the border with Slovenia. Much of its production is made with white wines produced with vines such as Malvasia, Verduzzo Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Vitoska and Friulano, But also the red wines touch excellent wines with vines such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Scootch, Pignolo, Refosco from Red Peduncolo and Tazzelenghe. It undergoes brief skin maceration and ages for approximately 11 months in a mix of concrete tanks and large oak barrels. Bottled without fining or filtration, with minimal added sulfites.
