Quartz Blanc is a wine that comes from sauvignon blanc grapes that come from a vineyard planted on soils rich in sand and quartz. The grapes ferments in used barriques, where they are subsequently aged for 18 months. As soon as uncorked, the nose is shy with light notes of green apple. A little bit of oxygen is enough and it explodes with notes of brown sugar, cinnamon, celery, cucumber and a hint of nutmeg. Vibrant mouth with acidity that guides the sip, accompanied by notes of white peach and sage. Long finish.

Macerated in whole bunches for two months, followed by a year of aging in large oak barrels. Maceration allows Alice to play with the more aromatic side of Savagnin, giving exotic fruits and a touch of spice. A nice acidity adds further complexity to the wine. A code name, B.B.1, for a wine obtained from a blend of Chardonnay and Savagnin, and signed by Ludwig Bindernagel, an architect who became a winemaker in 2003.
