"Orange" - Cantina Cinque Sensi
Orange is a sensory journey born from the co-fermentation of three native varietals, united in an embrace that lasts an entire month in contact with the skins. It is here, in the silence of the prolonged maceration, that the wine draws its complex structure and that deep amber color that enchants the eye. The thermoregulatory influence of the lake basin provides a vibrant sip, where the almost "electric" minerality of the volcano blends with a dense, velvety tannic texture. After a year in stainless steel and a full sixteen months of bottle aging, Orange reveals a hypnotic bouquet of bitter orange peel, dried apricot, and delicate notes of medicinal herbs. It is an orange wine of character and terroir, demonstrating how patience can transform local grapes into an expression of rare depth, warm like the Lazio soil and fresh like the breeze blowing across the lake.
Service
It is advisable to taste it at a temperature of 8/10° in tulip goblets. Daily wine but left to rest in the cellar a few years can have a wonderful evolution.
Pairing
Great on a plate of raw seafood, to try with grilled calamari.

The company Andrea Occhipinti is located in Gradoli, on the shores of Lake Bolsena, the largest volcanic lake in Europe. Andrea is well acquainted with these areas by having studied as a student during her Laure Agraria course and has been the subject of her graduation thesis. Andrea started his project in 2004 by acquiring 6 hectares of vineyards that are on a hill in a beautiful location, with excellent sun exposure and lake microclimate allowing for a qualitatively superior production. The basic principle of Andrea and to produce territorial wines, preserving and enhancing them through a selection of the best clones best suited to volcanic soils, chemical exclusion from vineyards, reasoned use of copper and sulfur. Scrupulous care of grapes during drying, vinification in steel or terracotta amphorae The vines grazed are the local autochthonous: Aleatico and the rare Red Grechetto. Wines where the taste of tradition blends perfectly with the effervescence of innovation.
