Service
We taste a temperature around 12/14 ° C. It is recommended to serve it in Tulip glasses. Wine to be drunk immediately but left a few years in the cellar can give great emotions.
Pairings
Excellent as an aperitif, paired with fish starters, fish main courses, ideal pairing with shrimp wrapped in bacon.
Winery: Domaine des Miroirs
Maison Menad is a young and dynamic company located in Orbagna, a French municipality of 181 inhabitants located in the Jura. The Maison is managed by Katie Worobeck who in the space of a couple of harvests has become one of the brightest young talents in the Jura. Katie, of Canadian origin, developed an interest in wine and organic farming during her studies, and in 2017 after doing an internship with the legendary Jean-François Ganevat, she decided to settle in the Jura, buying a house in Orbagna and renting a small plot of less than one hectare in “Les Varrons”. Here he grows Chardonnay, together with some rows of Gamay and old hybrids. In the vineyard his approach is to work alongside nature, and the only treatments, based on copper, sulphur, clay and plant extracts, are aimed at counteracting the presence of cryptogamic fungi. The wines are produced in an ancient cave located under Katie's house, she does not add any oenological product to the grape must. It does not correct the acidity of wines, it does not add yeasts. This way of working the land, the grapes and the wine is based on respect for nature and has ecological sustainability and maximum pleasure for those who taste the wine as its objectives. The wines of Maison Menad are delicate, fragrant and of a bewitching beauty.
