Ribolla Gialla - Radikon
A complex orange wine of great character made from Ribolla Gialla grapes. The grapes come from vineyards located in the area around Oslavia. After the harvest it is de-stemmed and placed in oak vats where spontaneous fermentation takes place in contact with the skins. To keep the skins immersed at all times, 3-4 manual punching operations are performed during the maceration. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation the vats are filled and closed and the wine remains in contact with the skins for several months. The next aging takes place in 25/35 hl oak barrels for about 40 months and, during this period, several decantings are carried out. Before bottling, Ribolla Gialla does not undergo any clarification or filtration or use of sulfur. Radikon's Yellow Ribolla is a yellow-orange wine. On the nose intense aromas ranging from floral to fruity to tropical fruits, to notes of spicy notes. On the palate the freshness and complexity is remarkable, it is very savory and mineral, slightly tannic. Very long finish with spicy and fruity finish.
Service
We taste the Ribolla at a temperature of 16/18 ° in glasses grand ballon. Wine to be drunk immediately, but does not disdain to be aged. Recall that this wine should be served at the same temperature of red wine and should not be refrigerated.

Cellar: Radikon
We are located on the height of Oslavia, a village of Gorizia, in the heart of Collio, the cellar Radikon is conducted since 1980 by Stanislaus, his wife Suzana and son Sasa winemaker. Are 12 hectares of vineyards located in the basement area, located on steep slopes, very tiring to work with, however, a perfect terrain for the cultivation of grapes, because it consists of very compact clay and sandstone and marl layers in these areas takes the name of Ponka. No chemicals in the vineyard, or sulfur dioxide in the wine cellar, where you switch to maceration in wooden vats. And 'so that Stanislaus Radikon changes course coming from that declaring the infernal circle of those who made a libertine use of chemicals in the country. Fed up with a wine that does not satisfy him anymore and that feels trivial and approved all the others, Stanislaus is the bearer of a production philosophy that supports the absolute need to cultivate the land using traditional methods, without polluting it with chemicals, thus obtaining healthy wines. And the wine obtained is rich in character and personality.
