“Erbatino” by Gueli It owes its name to the chalky soils rich in minerals, which in the local dialect are called “Erbatino”. Produced with Nero d'Avola grapes, it is vinified in concrete tanks, and refines for at least two years in oak barrels. It offers balsamic aromas to the nose from which various notes of aromatic herbs emerge, while in the background a light fruity nuance makes room. The taste is warm and consistent, guided by an evident but never invasive tannic texture.

Controcorrente is a fresh, elegant, and immediate wine, made from vines grown on calcareous-clay soils at 390 meters above sea level. Harvest is manual and fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts; a small portion of the grapes is vinified whole bunch depending on the vintage.
