Cellar: La Ginestra
La Ginestra is an agricultural cooperative founded in 1978 by a group of young enthusiasts with the aim of preserving and renewing the traditions of the Tuscan countryside. Settled on uncultivated lands of a farm abandoned for decades, it took its name from the homonymous weed, present in the fields at the time. With commitment and many years of work, the land and homes were recovered, leading the company to develop over an area of 125 hectares, divided between arable land, pastures, woods and olive groves. Grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Cabernet, Merlot, Colorino and Canaiolo were planted in the vineyards. The natural choice to adopt organic farming has been consolidated since 1989, producing in an eco-friendly way without the use of synthetic chemicals, respecting community regulations and the standards of authorized control bodies. This philosophy guarantees genuine and safe products, protecting the environment from pollution. The La Ginestra project continues to grow and diversify, participating in various organizations and consortia such as Conapi, Alce Nero & Mielizia, and Agriturist, thus sharing its experience and supporting principles of sustainability and quality in the agricultural sector.
