Cos was born in the eighties when the three friends Titta Cilia, Giusto Occhipinti and Cirino Strano decided to rent from Giuseppe Cilia, the dad of Titta, the family cellar and the adjacent vineyard. What seemed like a game led them over the years to revolutionize not only the demasion of Cerasuolo di Vittoria but all the wine-growing of the entire Sicily region. The principles of biodynamic viticulture have begun to follow for the cultivation of the vineyard, allowing the vineyards to remain in harmony with the soil, and in the cellar, among the first in Italy, fermentations and refinements in terracotta amphorae, a material that It does not give any flavor and allows to donate wines of great originality. Today, the cultivated hectares are 30 places at 250 m.s.m.m with a north / south exposure on limestone / silica soils and native Sicilian vines such as Avon Black, Zibibbo, Frapapto and Moscato are bred. The wine selection is extensive, but all the wines of Cos are unique, extremely linked to the territory and a personal style and very expressive.
