FRANCE, CHAMPAGNE

The Domaine Maurice Choppin is located a few kilometers from Epernay, in the Vallée de la Marne. Last of 7 generations and son of Maurice, today it is the young Benjamin Choppin (together with his wife Marine) who leads the company with illuminating rigor. The Haute Valeur Environnementale certification (HVE 3) testifies to the desire to preserve an often mistreated terroir like that of Champagne, then there is the organic management of the vineyards and a strong presence of trees, meadows and wild flowers around them. If on the one hand, therefore, biodiversity is promoted and ecological issues are an absolute priority, on the other hand, in the cellar the distinctive feature is limited interventionism to preserve the purity and identity of the wines. Power, roundness and tension travel in balance and we are particularly liking these bottles. Benjamin has a vision of wine very similar to ours.
