Producer Gotsa Family Wines

Gotsa Family Wines is located in Kiketi, just 25 kilometers from the center of Tbilisi. The winemaking tradition of the Gotsadze family dates back to the great-grandfather of the current winemaker, Konstantin Gotsadze, who began making wine in his cellars in the village of Tskhratskharo, in the Zestafoni district of western Georgia. At the beginning of the 20th century the family moved to the capital, Tbilisi, and continued to produce traditional wines. The current cellars are located in Kiketi, 1300m above sea level, in the very place where historical tradition says that the Georgian kings made their favorite wines vinified. The wines of the Gotsadze family are produced according to the ancient traditional method, in the kvevri: large underground terracotta amphorae.
