Producer De Bartoli

SICILY

You can not speak of Marco De Bartoli without associating his name with that of Marsala, and especially his wonderful Old Samperi. It was he who led the rebirth of this wine for decades in purgatory and associated with the worst names. Marco was a volcano, a dreamer, he liked to talk, and with everyone he talked about his beautiful Sicily, about his wine and was very angry when he thought of the end of Marsala. Since 2011, the company is led by Renato, Sebio and Giuseppina's children, who carry out with love and passion the project initiated by Marco. The vineyards are located 12 km from Marsala and on the island of Pantelleria, in the Bukkuram district, which in Arabic means the father of the vineyard. Cultivated vineyards are only Sicilian native; From Grillo, used to produce the various versions of Marsala and the Samperi line, at the Zibibbo bred in Pantelleria and used for the pass and the Bukkuram line. The wines of De Bartoli tell of his land, his thousand projects, his tenacity and his will to win on all fronts.
