Propietà Sperino is located in Lessona, at the foot of Monte Rosa. The company is led by Paolo De Marchi together with his son Luca, who in 1999 dusted off the long tradition of the Piedmontese family with the aim of bringing back the legendary wines of the North-Piedmont in respect not only of the local tradition but also of knowledge and the techniques used then. Today the company has eight hectares of vineyards that are divided between the Belvedere, Ormeggio, Castagnola, Rava and Covà vineyards, which are located in Lessona, and the Madonna degli Angeli vineyard in the Forte hamlet in the Bramaterra area. Most of the vineyards are located in the historic area of ​​the Ori, so called for the bright yellow color of the old and deep sea sands, on the sunny and breezy plateau of Orolungo. In the vineyard we do not use herbicides and chemical fertilizers, and the treatments are carried out only through small quantities of copper and sulfur so that each vineyard reaches a state of equilibrium. The harvest is carried out in several manual steps to ensure in each vineyard the selection of the most suitable grapes for each wine. The vinification is spontaneous in low and wide wooden vats, completely open, while the aging takes place in large barrels and tonneaux.
