Producer Domaine de la Grange Tiphaine
FRANCE, LOIRE
The recent history of Domaine de la Grange Tiphaine began in 2000, when Damien Delecheneau took over the family estate after completing his winemaking education in Bordeaux. From the outset, he embarked on a profound transformation, converting the vineyards first to organic farming and later to biodynamic viticulture. The estate encompasses around 15 hectares of vineyards spread across the appellations of Montlouis-sur-Loire, Touraine-Amboise and Coteaux de la Loire. This remarkable vineyard heritage, where vines once coexisted with tobacco and cereal crops until the 1970s, is now cultivated with the utmost respect for natural cycles. Together with his wife Coralie, Damien tends these historic parcels using biodynamic practices, preserving a unique viticultural legacy that includes many vines over a century old. In the cellar, the same philosophy guides every decision. Fermentation and ageing take place in concrete tanks and large, neutral oak casks, with minimal intervention and without unnecessary technical manipulation. The result is a collection of wines of remarkable precision, elegance and authenticity, each offering a nuanced and faithful expression of its terroir. Today, Domaine de la Grange Tiphaine is widely regarded as one of the Loire Valley's benchmark producers, consistently delivering wines of exceptional quality.
