Producer Ser’Enzo - S.A Borgo D'Asso
TUSCANY
Ser'Enzo is located in the heart of Tuscany, in Lucignano d'Asso, in the municipality of Montalcino, in an extraordinarily beautiful area nestled between the Crete Senesi and the Val d'Orcia. Here, on the slopes of Mount Amiata, the landscape alternates between woodlands and cereal fields, creating a rich and harmonious agricultural environment. The estate, born from a project by Leonardo Seragnoli, has a mixed agricultural vocation: vineyards coexist with arable land, dedicated to the cultivation of ancient cereals and legumes, and with olive groves, in a balanced production system that respects the land. The vineyards extend over approximately 15 hectares, with varying exposures and soil characteristics, and were planted between 1994 and 2021 using the Guyot training system. The predominantly sandy loam and well-structured soils give Ser'Enzo wines structure, depth, and longevity. These soils are typical of the area, fairly compact, and are meticulously and precisely tilled to ensure proper light and water intake, minimizing soil compaction. Vineyard management is based on careful observation of the plants' vegetative response: detailed mapping allows for targeted interventions, from the application of organic amendments to pruning and soil cultivation, while fully respecting the vine's vital balance.
