Producer Domaine Françoise Bedel et Fils

FRANCE, CHAMPAGNE

On the Champagne road, the municipality of Crouttes-sur-Marne is home to the Françoise Bedel & Fils winery, a point of reference for the biodynamic movement in France. This family-run winery covers approximately 8.4 hectares, growing mainly Pinot Meunier, with a smaller presence of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In line with Rudolf Steiner's biodynamic principles, Françoise Bedel rigorously applies preparations such as 502, 503, 504, 505, 506 and 507, keeping the soil oxygenated and promoting the exchange between plants and soil. The company pays great attention to the balance of the ecosystem and biodiversity, following the ancestral calendar of the biodynamic regime, in particular in the bottling and disgorgement phases. Françoise Bedel's peculiarity lies in the innovative use of pinot meunier in her cuvées, creating unique and distinctive blends. Avoiding producing vintage wines, the company focuses on the terroir rather than the single vintage, guaranteeing wines of great personality and quality. Among their labels, "Origin'elle", "Dis Vin Secret", "Entre Ciel et Terre", "L'Ame de La Terre", "Comme Autrefois" and "Robert Winer" stand out, which promise to tell the most authentic essence of the renowned French wine lands.
