L'Arène is a fragment of pure mountain: a high-altitude Chasselas (760m) born from the heroic vineyards of Fully, in the Valais. Matthias Orsett, a solitary craftsman of just one hectare, cultivates the gneiss with almost spiritual care, using historic ratchet presses from the early 20th century and natural treatments. The product of a six-day maceration and bottled without added sulfites, this wine is an Alpine breeze of medicinal herbs and meadow flowers. On the palate, it is magnetic and "naked," where the crisp freshness of the rock meets a deep and vibrant savoriness. A sincere portrait of a man and his mountain.
