ROSE WINES

Meigamma Rosato is a wine made from local red grapes which are vinified in pink, with a brief maceration on the skins for 18 hours. Spontaneous fermentation and aging in contact with noble lees in used barriques. A feminine wine, with notes of fragrant flowers and fresh fruit, a gentle version of the rosé wine.

Grapes: Local red grapes.

Alcohol content: 14%.

Aging: 12 months in used barriques.

Bottle produced: 1250.

Cerasuolo di Praesidium is a versatile wine with a great mineral freshness. After fermentation it rests for at least five months in steel barrels. On the nose floral aromas of rose and hints of red berries, followed by notes of mineral nuances. On the palate it is full-bodied, fresh and lively, with good flavor and a fruity finish.

Region: Abruzzo.

Aging: A few months in concrete tanks.

Emidio Pepe's Cerasuolo is a wine of great depth and character. Unique among Pepe's wines not to stay in the cellar for long refinements is a pleasant wine, with a marked scent of rose and cherry. In the mouth it is fragrant, soft and slightly tannic.
