Molitor's Riesling Alte Reben Trocken is a white wine obtained from pure Riesling grapes. This is the oldest vintage available. The scent is buttery and tropical, leeches and passion fruit on chalk and burnt rubber. In the glass it evolves into a disarming complexity, surprising freshness on the palate. Peach and lemon on the nose, flint. Burnt rubber now looks like oil. Long and austere, fresh and drinkable. A great emotion.

Eiswein is a real gem in Molitror's crown. It is produced only in certain vintages from grapes left on the branches until prolonged winter, so that the cold freezes and dehydrates them, allowing a collection of frozen but very sweet berries. Weingut Molitor produces different versions of Riesling, and in this case it offers it in an unusual effervescent guise. The Riesling Brut Petillant Naturel is produced with grapes harvested in 2008. First fermentation with only indigenous yeasts, refermentation in the bottle followed by aging on the yeasts for 60 months. It has an intense straw yellow color with a fine and persistent effervescence. On the nose it has a fruity aroma with notes of white peaches and apricots, combined with pleasant sensations of croissants in the background. The sip is fresh and reactive, long and supported by a beautiful acidity typical of Riesling. It closes with a long and clean finish.

Molitor's Riesling Spatlese Piesporter Goldtropfchen is a wine of contrast, between the exuberance of burnt tire and canned peach sensations. The sensation of iodine is surprising. The return evokes figs and caramel. In the mouth it is taut, alive, very long. It is a riesling with a slight sugary residue that leaves a surprising cleansing sensation in the mouth. Wonder.
