Rodano

The long Rhône course collects several heterogeneous wine districts, from Switzerland to southern France. In France the Rhône valley begins south of Beaujolais and extends between Lyon and Provence for about 200 kilometers. Cotes-du-Rhône is divided into two, the Rhône del Nortd and the South, which spread both for vineyards and for soil and climate. For red wines, the most widely used grape is the Syrah which is purified in purity in the Rhône north, while it is cut with Carigliano, Mouvervedrè and Cinsault in the Rhone Rhône. Other red berries are: terret noir, Oeillade, Roussane, Bourboulenc and Vaccarese. White wines are widely used in the Voignier in the North, and in the South we find Clairette, Grenache Blanc, White Pinot and Mauzac. The northern part of the Rhône area produces intense, robust wines with sustained alcoholic strength, while in the south, red wines of smaller body are obtained, more rustic but equally rich in color and aroma. The two best wines of the whole Rhône valley are the Cote Rotie and the Hermitage. Both of them produced by the Syrah grape, the Cote Rotie has a scent that recalls green olives and fruity aromas and in the vineyards can ivecchaire more than 20 years, while the Hermitage is a robust, complex, rich, very tannic wine that it is also preserved for 30 years. Cornas wines are impressive and profound. The White Hermitage is produced by the Marsanne and Roussanne grapes and is full, robust and requires from eight to ten years to grow. Another important wine of the North Rhine is the Condrieu based on the Voigner grape variety. It is a very scented wine with apricot and peach aromas. Interesting and the Clairette de Die Methode Ancestrael which is a dry sparkling wine obtained by the bottle fermentation method from Muscat grapes to petits grains. The king of the Rhône-de-Provence is Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The name dates back to the 14th century when the Pope was not in Rome but in Avignon. All wines of this denomination are red produced with 13 different varieties including Grenache, Mouverdre and Sirah. Chateauneuf-du-Pape is a robust, rich, round wine with a high alcohol content. then we find the name Cotes-du-Rhone which produces red and bony and rosé wines. In the South Rhine there are two great denominations, Tavel and Lirac, where roses are made from grapes of Grenache and Cinsault. The best producers are: Chateau de Beaucastel, M. Chapoutier, Delas, E. Guigal, Paul Jaboulet Ainè and Erci Textier.
