"Funky" evokes the winery's experimental approach to the winemaking of this ancient Lazio grape variety. Manual harvesting in small crates is followed by vinification using two distinct methods: half the grapes are pressed directly, and the other half macerate on the skins for 24 hours before pressing. The wine matures for eight months in stainless steel. Bottling follows, followed by eight months of bottle aging before release. "Valentini's Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is a complex and opulent wine, which has become famous for its incredible longevity.
