Producer Andrea Calek

Andrea Calek is a winemaker of Czech origin who traveled the length and breadth of Europe in a caravan before settling in France in 2007, in Valvignières, in the heart of the Ardèche. Andrea cultivates about 5 hectares of vines located in a radius of just a few hundred meters around the cellar, where on soils of clayey-calcareous origin, there are plants of syrah, grenache, carignan, viognier and chardonnay. The vinification takes place without any use of chemicals, and the fermentation takes place using indigenous yeasts and without the addition of sulfur dioxide. Andrea's goal is to preserve the fruit in all its splendour. His wines are uncompromising bottles, with a splendid acidity that gives them freshness and a high degree of drinkability. Production is close to 15,000 bottles, exported to Europe, the United States and Japan.
