Producer Laurent Lebled

FRANCE, LOIRE

A former wood merchant, today Laurent Lebled cultivates just over three hectares between Savigny-en-Véron and Saint-Aignan-sur-Cher in the Loire. His decision to become a winemaker took place in 2008, when the timber market collapsed due to the crisis. As he worked with untreated wood, he had many clients who were vintners of natural wines such as: Olivier Cousin, Patrick Corbineau, Sébastien Bobinet. Helped by them, he begins to produce his own wine, and the first vintage comes out in 2010. Today he cultivates Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon and Gamay in compliance with sustainable viticulture, with strictly manual harvesting, and without the aid of chemicals. In the cellar he vinifies his wines mainly in carbonic maceration, with spontaneous fermentations and refinements mainly in steel. The result is lively, genuine wines that express the full personality of the territory.
