Producer Hauksson Weine

SWITZERLAND, CANTON ARGOVIA

Hoss Hauksson was born and raised in Iceland, right in the capital Reykjavik; in 2009 he moved to Switzerland, where he worked for some years in the financial sector. Always passionate about wine and nature, some time later he buys about 400 kg of grapes, Pinot Nero, which vinifies in a small steel tank inside the laundry room of home. This "homemade" production continues for about 2 years, until to 2016, when Hoss rents the first parcel of Pinot Nero in Remi gen, in central-northern Switzerland, in Aargau. Establishes the cellar in nearby Rufenach and in 2017 put its first on the market official vintage. In the following years he rents other plots where there are white grapes such as Kerner, Pinot Grigio and Muller Thurgau. The producer has been working since 2017 following the principles of biodynamics and firmly believes that nature must find its balance without any forcing or invasive human intervention.
