Producer Enderle & Moll

GERMANY, BADEN

Although their history is quite recent (2007), Enderle & Moll are considered by critics and by professionals one of the landmarks of Pinot Noir. The winery was born in Münchweier, a historic village wine growing on the slopes of the Black Forest in the lot vocata Baden, where Sven Enderle and Florian Moll they cultivate 2.5 hectares and rent another 6 from parcels neighboring. In these very few and precious hectares of land so different from each other, mostly composed of limestone, sand and sandstone, vineyards have their roots between 25 and 75 years of age, consider some of the most ancient in Baden (350/550 meters above sea level). The philosophy of the winery was born from this difference in soils that Sven and Florian want at each cost to exalt, a philosophy that can only marry right from the start the rigorous principles of biodynamics such as natural consequence of those who think, live and cultivate as only free spirits can do. After their studies in oenology, the two boys begin immediately to do the apprenticeship in various domaine of Germany, but it is mainly the French experiences with producers from Jura, Languedoc and big names in Burgundy like Domaine Dugat and Dujac (still today their supplier of exhausted barrels) to influence their way to conceive wine
