Producer Antoine Arena

FRANCE, CORSE

Antoine Arena comes from a family of Corsican winemakers who have always had their vineyards in the Patrimonio region, located north of Corsica. Antoine after studying law in Nice, decides to go home and take care of the 3 hectares of vineyards and the family winery which in a short time has become a point of reference. He immediately adopted a natural approach both in the vineyard and in the cellar, also as a reaction to the large agro-industrial groups of the chemical industry. Today, the winery covers 14 hectares divided into 3 areas; Carco with 3 hectares where we find vermentino and nieluccio on very hard limestone soils, Grotta di sole with 3 hectares with vermentino and nieluccio vines with more clayey limestone soils, and Morta Maio with 1.6 hectares where nieluccio reigns supreme. The future of Cantina is ensured by the two sons, Jean-Baptiste, who returned to the Winery in 2003, after studying law, and now among the vineyards and protagonist of the transition from "Bio" to Biodynamics and, Antoine-Marie returned to 2004, after his studies in the History of Geography, and who takes care of the work in the cellar.
