The VNA Wine company is located in the Oltrepò Pavese, near Torrazza Coste, a small village that still preserves the most ancient local traditions. Its history begins in 1982, with the Fiori family taking over some lands with an adjoining cellar. Wines are produced only for a small circle of people with the typical blends of the Oltrepadana tradition. The breakthrough took place in 2015, when the sons Alessandro and Federico, in the meantime passionate about the world of wine, decided to take over the business themselves, directly dealing with the wine production in the cellar. They do it in an innovative way and above all by using healthy agriculture in respect of the land in which they live and in which they are in harmony with natural rhythms. All the shoots are renewed, the grassing is natural, the fertilizations are contained and, obviously, organic-based. The vines, between 20 and 30 years old, arise on clayey and silty soils with the presence of sands and sandstones and among the cultivated varieties we find cortese, barbera, croatina and grape rare. In the cellar they work using ancestral and artisanal methods and, invasive processes are limited, such as filtrations or clarifications, and only uses native yeasts. Thus was born the VNA adventure full of passion and experimentation.
