Producer Domaine Leon Barral

The Domaine Léon Barral is located in Lenthéric, a small village at the foot of a hill, in the small region of Languedoc-Roussillon, belonging to the southern area of ​​France. Since 1990 the Domaine has been led by Didier, who today works 25 hectares with care and respect for the terroir of the small Languedoc-Roussillon region, specifically in the small village of Lenthéric. Precursors of an artisan movement, the generations of the Barral family have always been the bearers of a radical philosophy that goes beyond biological and biodynamic thinking. The sensitivity with which he works the vines leads to a great identity in the finished product. Immersed in the surrounding biodiversity and cared for according to biodynamic principles, the vineyards, which rise on soils of shale and slate, are cultivated with cinsault, syrah, carignan, grenache, mourvèdre, terret, viognier, russane. The wines, pure expression of the territory, are obtained from spontaneous fermentations, without any filtration, clarification and with the minimum indispensable dosage of sulphites. "Tradition", "Jadis" or "Valinière" are wines that make themselves known for their firm personality, frankness and simple genuineness.
