Producer Gérard Schueller

FRANCE, ALSACE

The Domaine of Gérad Schueller is located in Husseren-les-Châteux, a small medieval village located a few kilometers south-west of Colmar, in Alsace. The domaine is managed by Bruno Schueller, the son, who owns land on the Grands Crus divided between Eguisheim and Husseren-les-Chateaux, namely Pfersigberg and Eichberg. Cultivated grapes, the traditional Alsatian ones, such as; Pinot bianco, Pinot Grigio, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir. In the cellar and in the vineyard we work absolutely without intervention. No addition of sulfur, no temperature control other than what Mother Nature does by itself, no decanting and even less filtration ... It produces about 40 different cuvées and eventually sells about 25 wines every year. Bruno tries to enhance the maximum potential of the combination of grape variety, terroir and climate of each vintage. Bruno is a genius, he clearly understands what grapes want, then he helps the grapes to go in the right direction. Consequently, the style and taste of the same wine (same grape variety from the same vineyards) will not be the same every year.
