Cascina Roccalini is located in Roccalini, in the municipality of Barbaresco. The owner of the company is Paolo Veglio who in 2004 with the help of Dante Scaglione decided not to give more grapes to Bruno Giacosa, but to start to wine and bottling on his own. Over time, Paolo's style has gone de fi nition, embracing a fi lio fi that has led to minimizing interventions in vineyard and cellar. Only spontaneous vinification, indigenous yeasts, little sulfur, large barrel aging and re-use for Barbaresco's wine making the ancient technique of the submerged hat. About 10000 bottles of wine each year produced by Cascina Roccalini divide into 4 labels; The Dolcetto d'Alba, the Barbera d'Alba, the Barbera Superiore and the jewel Barbaresco Roccalini. Paul's wines are elegant, fine, deep, mineral and great expression of terroir.
