Producer Domanie Marie Thibault

FRANCE, LOIRE

Sometimes the appeal of viticulture appeals to people who know nothing about wine, and who therefore use all their resources, physical, mental and economic, to keep up with a constantly changing sector ". Marie Thibault was not born a winemaker but became one in 2002 as an employee of François Chidaine and then set up her own business in 2004. Her Domaine is located in Ligniéres de Touraine, on the edge of the Loire Valley, in the Azay-Le-Rideau appellation. Here Marie holds 3.5 hectares of paradise, where white and red grape varieties such as Chenin Blanc, Grolleau and Gamay grow. The vines are on average 50 years old and have been grown in a certified organic regime since 2014 (by choice, not indicated on the label). About 10,000 bottles produced each year including white, red and pétillant wines.
