Producer Vigne del Pellagroso

LUMBARDY

Vigne del Pellagroso is a young and dynamic company located in Monzambano, in the province of Mantua, on the morainic hills of Lake Garda, an area with a proven wine vocation. The company takes its name from an independent social agitation newspaper at the end of the 1800s, for the “Il Pellagroso” note. Behind Vigne del Pellagroso we find Antonio “Billy” Camazzola, a new young and tenacious vigneron, who in 2011 left his host's apron to rent a small vineyard planted with Merlot. In the last two years, Antonio's main job has been to recover old vineyard plots in Mantua, and to raise them in a biodynamic regime with the use of biodynamic preparations, herbal teas, propolis and actual microorganisms. Today in its vineyards we find plants of Cabernet sauvingon, Molinara, Rondinella, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Garganega, Moscato, Tocai, Malvasia and Pinot bianco. All stages of production are rigorously done by hand, with vinifications that take place through spontaneous fermentation, without the use of added sulfur, let alone filtration, refining in exhausted tonneaux, fiberglass and steel tanks. Vigne del Pellagroso wines are agile and ready to drink wines.
