The Romagna must also thank people like Paolo Francesconi, if he is experiencing an ascent in the wine field, if he is making himself feel like territory and ecosystem in wine. The company of Paolo Francesconi is located on the first hills of the Apennines just above Faenza, in the province of Ravenna. Paul is a keen observer, a calm man, who knows how to observe the mechanisms that revolve around the vineyard. Today it has about 9 hectares of vineyard, all farmed in organic, which are found on clayey alluvial soils. It produces around 20000 bottles where its Sangiovese, Limbecca, and its macana Albana, the Arcaica stand out. The work of Paolo in his 3 decades of activity has been immense starting from the fact that he was one of the first, in 1992, to obtain the organic certification. Since 2002 he has been a proponent of biodynamic and managed to give many winemakers in the area a vision of sustainable viticulture.
