Producer Stefan Vetter

Stefan Vetter's young winery is located in Karlstadt-Gambach, in the German region of Franconia. In this region the vine has been bred for thousands of years and has become one of the main areas for the cultivation of the Sylvaner vine. Despite his young age, Stefan Vetter is certainly one of the most outstanding wine producers in the region. Stefan cultivates 2 hectares of vineyard that climbs the slopes of Gambach, Wiesenfeld and Castell. Its vineyards are certified organic and grown exclusively by hand, this means hoe and trimmer instead of herbicide. In the cellar Stefan Vetter prefers a soft pressing of the grapes, spontaneous fermentation, no clarification agent, and refining of its wines in wooden barrels. All its wines are not filtered and only a small amount of sulfur is added. The wines produced by Stefan Vetter are; the Sylvaner obtained from the younger vines, the Sylvaner CK Keuper whose grapes come from old vines of 50 years and the Blaufränkisch, a red wine obtained from the homonymous vine. Stefan Vetter's wines are complex and of tension. His motto is objective: "In Vino Vita est".
