Producer Le Rocche del Gatto

LIGURIA

The Le Rocche del Gatto farm is located in Liguria in the outskirts of Albenga, immersed in the Bastia hills surrounding the Albenga plain. The owner of the company is Fausto De Andreis with a past at Ivrea's Olive Tree, which in 1982 is all about dedicating himself to what he loves most in life. So begins the adventure of Le Rocche del Catto, chosen in honor of his wife Caterina, always surrounded by a tide of cats. In seven hectares, Fausto cultivates cultivates Ligurian vines such as Pigato, Vermentino, Rossese and Ormeasco.  Today the Le Rocche del Gatto company produces about 75 thousand bottles a year. The Le Rocche del Gatto wines are austere and complex, away from classic Ligurian wines and closer to the stylistic canons of wine areas such as the Moselle. Over the years, they acquire hints of hydrocarbons and toast while maintaining a live acidity. Ever-trimmed wines become cult among the enthusiasts.
