"Flat Castle" because Matteo Ceracchi, the patron, believes his only castle is his terroir. Matteo has a degree in oenology taken in the prestigious San Michele all'Adige school, and decades of harvesting on his shoulders in a boundless passion for wine, which has always been a continuous endeavor, an all-round research that has never been fully satisfied. Matteo breeds Trebbiano Giallo, Pinot Grigio, Montepulciano, Cesanese, Merlot, and Grechetto, Malvasia, Riesling and Sauvignon. The wines of Piana dei Castelli are authentic and refined.
